AuthorContributor Mathew E. (@TwinsRock88) The Boeing 737 has been an iconic aircraft in Infinite Flight since February of 2014. Pilots continue to enjoy flying this aircraft for short haul and medium haul flights still to this day. Although it is not the most popular aircraft, it is definitely one of the most used. Unfortunately, due to its early release the Boeing 737 model aircraft has become fairly outdated in its design and physics. Infinite Flight LLC has decided to add a few new features to the 737 to make it more up to date to the current aircraft model standards. This has been confirmed to be an addition of a couple new features and not a rework of the entire aircraft. Here is what is likely to be added: 1) Scimitar Winglets: These are winglets on the bottom of the top of the wing to add extra fuel efficiency. This feature has been confirmed to be added to select aircraft. However it is not confirmed yet if these winglets will add new physics to the aircraft such as better fuel efficiency. 2) Wingflex: Wingflex has become a standard in the new aircraft models and it is very likely that the Boeing 737 family will receive this feature. This feature has not been confirmed other than a wink given under a comment asking for wingflex. While this is not an official confirmation, it can be perceived as likely to be added. Here is what we think might be coming: 1) Landing Suspensions: Landing Suspensions create a softer landing by absorbing the weight of the aircraft as it touches the ground. This feature is also not completely confirmed but is likely going to be added as the A320 received the suspensions when receiving a couple new features. 2) Ground Effects: The A320 and CRJ family both have ground effects as a standard feature and it is likely that the 737 will possible receive ground effects. Ground effects create more lift as the aircraft gets closer to the ground. 3) Aircraft Liveries: There is no information on whether or not new liveries will be released but it is possible. The small A320 update came out with a few more liveries meaning it is something the development team may do for the Boeing 737 family. Please keep in mind that many of these features are speculations based off certain reasoning. These new features have not been confirmed by the development team. Lots of these theories are based off the standards that the Infinite Flight team has set while working on other aircraft. Keep in mind this is not a rework meaning features like a new cockpit, working instruments, etc will most likely not be added. It is unclear whether or not the 737 will receive its own update. It is likely that the Boeing 737 features will come with either the A10 rework or another future update. Make sure to keep an eye on Infinite Flight's social media channels and the IFC for any new information on the new features for the Boeing 737.
